Bill Geoghegan is an independent consultant who has been involved in the Hotel and CRS and Gaming software business for nearly 20 years. He is a co-founder of Action Software Corporation, co-authored the Radisson Pierre Central Reservation, and has written numerous custom Property Management Systems and Central Reservations Systems.

A founder of Reservation Technologies, he designed and authored the software used by many of the Ski Area Destination's in the Rocky Mountains and also used as the Discover British Columbia CRS. As Director of Advanced Product Development for MAI Systems (now Hotel Information Systems), he was responsible for their strategic product direction and new product development. He served as Vice President for Hospitality Product Development with SynXis Corporation, and was responsible for all aspects of their Hospitality Division. He continues in a consulting capacity to the Hotel and Gaming industries.

His involvement in Hospitality Industry Standards includes work with the Integrating Technology Consortium (ITC), the Windows Hospitality Interface Specification (WHIS), and the Hospitality Industry Technology Integration Standards (HITIS), the Open Travel Alliance (OTA), and the Gaming Standards Association (GSA). Bill chaired the HITIS Central Reservation Systems Technical Committee, and served as an advisor to the AH&MA for the development of the HITIS standards using XML. He led the development for Golf Tee Times Standards, and served on the OTA Interoperablity Committee, as well as chairing task groups within the OTA.

He continues to consult to a variety of companies in the Hotel, Casino and Activity Software industries, as well as to Management Companies, and is an adjunct professor at the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Neveda, Las Vegas.
